The Commited Team

BioApps is made up of a powerful team committed to provide the best products and services in the field of rehabilitation. The members of the team are professionals well-educated in the areas of prosthetics and orthotics. All of them are dedicated to BioApps’ vision, mission, and objective: “To deliver research outputs for retail; to provide high-tech manufacturing and servicing of rehabilitation devices; as well as to provide education and services of high quality to all members of the public”.

General Manager

Ilya graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Human Science (BHSc) degree in English Language and Literature from the International Islamic University, Malaysia (IIUM). Upon graduation, she went into publication and event management businesses. She joined BioApps in 2017 as the first Assistant General Manager (AGM) and was heavily involved in the sales and marketing activities of the company. In January 2017, she was appointed the General Manager and continues to lead the sales and marketing team of BioApps. Ilya has a good general knowledge of BioApps’ products and fabrication techniques, and a unique approach to business management. Due to her outstanding strength in social communication, Ilya gets along very well with members of the staff as well as BioApps’ clients who are mainly medical doctors and nurses. She also has an extraordinary skill in managing BioApps’ patient population that is very diverse and dynamic, who comes from various social and geographical backgrounds, ranging from children, active adults, athletes, geriatrics, and members of the Malaysian Military’s Warfare units.. In general, Ilya is creative, articulate, proactive, and organised. Her motto in life: “The Empire State is not built in a day”.

Technical Head, Clinical Specialist

Saros obtained his Category I CPO certification in 2009 when he graduated with a BSc degree from the Sirindhorn School of Prosthetics and Orthotics, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand (SSPO Cat I). Earlier on, he got his Category II CPO certification from the Cambodia School of Prosthesis and Orthotic (CSPO Cat II) in 2007. Prior to that, he graduated from The University of Technology and Management (UTM), Yangon, Myanmar in 2005. Saros has been practising as a CPO since 2009 at five different PnO institutions in Cambodia, Sri Lanka, and Myanmar. During that period, he attended a number of training courses and seminars in various areas relevant to his profession, including Hip Management, Disability Rights Awareness, and Stroke Management. Saros joined BioApps in 2017 and was appointed its Technical Head in 2018. Saros is a citizen of Cambodia and currently resides in Kuala Lumpur with his wife and two children. Saros is diligent, knowledgeable, and helpful. His motto in life: “The mind is everything. What you think, you become”.

ALI KHAN, BSc, MSc, CPO, Reg. Prosthetist and Orthotist
Clinical Specialist

Ali is a state registered Prosthetist and Orthotist, licensed by the Health and Care Professional Council (HCPC), United Kingdom. He initially graduated in 2010 in the field of prosthetics and orthotics with a BSc degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics from the Pakistan Institute of Prosthetics and Orthotics Sciences (PIPOS), Khyber Medical University, Peshawar Pakistan. From 2010, Ali has been working as a certified prosthetist & orthotist (CPO) and a Centre Manager in one of the remote rehabilitation centres in Pakistan. In October 2012, Ali moved to Malaysia and started working as a CPO till July 2016. In his tenure in Malaysia, Ali has also served the University of Malaya as a member of the Industrial Advisory Panel for the Bachelor of Biomedical Engineering (Prosthetics and Orthotics) degree. Ali completed his Masters degree in Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Technology (Prosthetics and Orthotics) from the University of Dundee, Scotland, UK in 2018. Ali has also specialized in CAD CAM technology used in the fabrication of prosthetics and orthotics and Vicon® Nexus motion analysis system. In addition, he has been involved in the design of Arthroplasty replacement prosthetics related to orthopaedic technology. Ali joined BioApps as a CPO on 1.08.2018. He is a persistent, responsible, and intelligent individual. His motto in life: “The first to apologise is the bravest. The first to forgive is the strongest. The first to forget is the happiest”.

Clinical Specialist

Irfan obtained a degree in Bachelor of Prosthetic & Orthotic Sciences (Honors), University of Peshawar, Pakistan in 2007. He is recognised as an Orthopaedic Technologist (ISPO – Category II Professional) and a Certified Prosthetist & Orthotist (CPO) (ISPO) since then. Irfan has a vast working experience during the period 2008 to February 2017, namely as the Centre Manager and a Prosthetist & Orthotist in P.R.S.P-Chal Rehab Centre D.H.Q Hospital Battgram, as a Certified Prosthetist & Orthotist (CPO) in the Pakistan Institute of Prosthetics and Orthotics Sciences (PIPOS), and as a CPO in Malaysia since June 2011 until now. He also conducted training courses in Ottobock and Ossur on various topics related to the field of rehabilitation between 2012 to 2015. Irfan joined Bioapps as a CPO since April 2017 and served as its Technical Head for 10 months. Since joining BioApps, he had also conducted a number of courses including a course at UMMC on the topic “Transtibial and Transfemoral Prostheses” in September 2017. Irfan currently resides in Kuala Lumpur with his wife and two children. He is a detailed, cooperative, and friendly person. His motto in life: “The only impossible journey is the one you never begin”.

PO Engineer / Clinical Specialist

Asliza graduated in BBEng (P&O) from University of Malaya (UM) in 2014. She worked with a prosthetic and orthotic service providing company as a prosthetist and orthotist (PO) since then. After almost a year working in that company, she moved to BioApps as a PO in January 2015. At the same time, she is doing her MEngSc course at UM. Noor Asliza binti Ahmad is skilful, handy, and broad-minded. Her motto in life: “In every success story, you will find someone who has made a courageous decision”.

PO Engineer / Clinical Specialist

Saiful graduated in BBEng (P&O) from University of Malaya (UM) in 2014. He started working as a prosthetist and orthotist (PO) in BioApps as a PO in January 2015. At the same time, he is doing his second degree MEngSc at UM. Saiful Syazwan Bin Mohd Fadzil is skilful, handy and broad-minded. His motto in life : “You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough”.

Sales and Marketing Executive

Raafi graduated with BSc from UiTM in 2016. He has worked in a number of professional companies since then. Mohd Raafi bin Thohar joined BioApps in February 2018 as the Sales and Marketing Executive (SAME). He is optimistic, adventurous, and competitive. His motto in life: “If you want to go further, go together”.

Asset and Material Controller

Sazz graduated with a bachelor degree in Engineering (UiTM). She has worked in a number of companies since then. Sazzlina Binti Sidek joined BioApps in November 2017 as the Asset & Material Controller. She is diplomatic, understanding, and cooperative. Her motto in life: “You get what you give”.

Prosthetic and Orthotic Technician

Jamal has worked in a number of companies as a technician. He joined BioApps in May 2018 as a Prosthetic and Orthotic Technician. Jamaludin Bin Selamat is practical, methodical, and sensible. His motto in life: “Don’t gain the world and lose your soul, wisdom is better than silver or gold”.

Prosthetic and Orthotic Technician

Zul has worked in a number of companies as a technician. He joined BioApps in May 2018 as a Prosthetic and Orthotic Technician. Ahmad Zulkarnain bin Bahauddin is  cheerful, helpful, and energetic. His motto in life: “The greatest gift of life is friendship”.

Customer Service Executive

Naz graduated with Bachelor of Industrial Organisational Psychology (UNISEL). She has worked in a number of companies as an administrator since then. Nazihah binti Mohd Mokthar joined BioApps in January 2015 as a Customer Service Executive. She is  cheerful, helpful, and energetic. Her motto in life: “Make your life a masterpiece”.

Administration Executive

Esya graduated with Bachelor of Communication (UiTM). She has worked in a number of companies as an administrator since then. Siti Eyisah Binti Jamaluddin joined BioApps in January 2015 as an Administration Executive. She is  patient, resourceful, and innovative. Her motto in life: “Keep your face to the sunshine”.

Finance Officer

Dilah graduated with a bachelor degree in  Business Administration (UiTM). She has worked in a number of companies as an administrator since then. Nurfadilah Binti Zulkifli joined BioApps in April 2018 as the Finance Officer. She is positive, meticulous, and motivated. Her motto in life: “Keep your eyes on the stars and your feet on the ground”.

Handyman and Runner

Amir joined BioApps in January 2018 as a Handyman and Runner. Amir Nur Rashid Bin Ahmad is hardworking, speedy, and bright. His motto in life: “When the going gets tough, the tough gets going”.

Technical Consultant

Nadia is a research officer at the Centre for Applied Biomechanics (CAB), Faculty of Engineering, University of Malaya (UM). She received her BBEng (2006) and MEngSc (2012) degrees in biomedical engineering from UM. Since graduation, she had served as a biomedical engineering tutor UM (2006-2010), research officer UKM (2010-2012), and then back to UM as a research officer at CAB. Her current research work covers prosthetics and orthotics biomechanics, focusing on gait analysis. Hanie Nadia binti Shasmin joined BioApps in 2015 as a Technical Consultant for special projects. She is disciplined, fair, and honest. Her motto in life: “We know what we are, but know not what we may be”.

Technical Consultant

Dr. Anida is a senior lecturer at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Malaya. She received her BBEng and PhD degrees in biomedical engineering from University of Malaya and her MSc degree in prosthetics and orthotics from Eastern Michigan University, USA. Her current research interests cover prosthetics and orthotics biomechanics, in particular, focusing on the balance mechanism with prosthetics intervention following lower-limb amputation. Dr Nooranida binti Arifin joined BioApps in 2015 as a Technical Consultant for special projects and academic research. She is consistent, trustworthy, and diplomatic. Her motto in life: “Always do your best. What you plant now, you will harvest later”.
