The fabrication workshop and the research laboratory are held within the same facility as the clinic, so that work on socket design and motion analysis is applied directly in the fitting of each device. The clinic accepts patients referred from Universiti Malaya Medical Centre and from public and private hospitals throughout Malaysia, for artificial limbs, orthoses, custom made footwear and insoles. For those unable to travel, the clinical team conducts clinics at hospitals across Peninsular Malaysia, and arranges home visits where travel is not practicable. A number of these devices are funded through SOCSO. Patients are advised to enquire regarding the provisions applicable to their case.
