He graduated from University of Bradford, UK with a B.Eng. Hons. in Mechanical Engineering, followed by MSc. and Ph.D. in Bioengineering from University of trathclyde,UK. My research interests are quite wide-ranging under the general umbrella of biomechanics. However, his main interests are the measurements of human movement, prosthetics design, the development of instrumentation for forces and joint motion, and the design of prosthetics, orthotics and orthopaedic he is an established academician and a practicing engineer.

Prof. Dr. Ir. Wan Abu Bakar is a well-known creative writer who has published a novel, short stories, poems, as well as academic books and articles on Malay literature in Malaysia and Indonesia under the pen name Irwan Abu Bakar. He is an associate editor of Dewan Sastera, which is Malaysia’s top literary magazine. He owns the publishing company Esastera Enterprise. He promoted e-literature in Malaysia since 2002 through the portal e-Sastera.com which is currently very active in the Facebook. In 2010, he set up a society for e-literature activists, the Persatuan Aktivis E-sastera, Malaysia (E-SASTERA) and has been the President of the society since. He is also the Head Coordinator for the Gabungan Komunitas Sastra ASEAN (GAKSA) and the World Association of Literary Communities (WALC). He has also served as a Panel member for a number of literary awards in Malaysia. Besides, has also served as the Vice President of NUMERA, a regional literary society for Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia.
